We are committed to adaptive reuse as a first principle: before any new build, we ask whether an existing structure can be reimagined. When new construction is necessary, we prioritize low-embodied-carbon materials, passive environmental strategies, and construction methods that can be reversed or repaired.
We prefer locally sourced and certified timber, natural stone, and mineral finishes. We avoid materials with high toxicity, short lifespans, or difficult end-of-life pathways.
We listen before we design. A close dialogue with each client, craftsperson, and consultant is the foundation of every project.
We design for longevity. A building should become more beautiful as it ages, accumulating patina rather than obsolescence.
Good architecture does not announce itself. It creates conditions for life to unfold—moments of compression and release, shadow and brightness.
We work with materials that reveal their own character: stone that holds light, timber that carries the grain of the tree, plaster that records the hand.
